1. How to enter: Search "The Shining" website at abc.com. Count the number times this "Redrum" graphic appears throughout the entire "The Shining" website. (Check every page including this rules page; some graphics appear and disappear in the same place, count them once; the size of the graphic varies; don't count the "redrums" that appear in the video clips.) Fill out a 3" x 5" plain piece of paper with your name, address, phone number and your "Redrum" count, and mail it to: Redrum Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 8461 Westport, CT 06888. All entries must be postmarked by May 31, 1997.

2. How winners will be chosen: On or about June 15, 1997, a random drawing will be conducted from all eligible entries received, under the supervision of Dryden & Petisi Promotion LCC, an independent judging organization. Eligible entries are those who have given the correct "Redrum" count.

3. Prizes: 251 prizes will be available. (1) First Prize winner will receive a Laptop Computer with CD Rom and a new edition of Stephen King's "The Shining" book and a special CD Rom of "The Shining", approximate retail value $ 2, 000. (250) Second Prize winners will receive a new edition copy of Stephen King's "The Shining" book as well as a special CD Rom of "The Shining" and a custom key chain. Approximate retail value of $44. Total retail value of prizes $13,000. First prize winner will be notified by mail and will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release, which must be returned with 14 days of notification or an alternate winner will be selected. (TN residents are exempt from executing Publicity Releases).

Sponsor is not responsible for technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed or incomplete or delayed transmissions which may limit a users ability to participate in the sweepstakes.

4. Details. Sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents, 18 years or older, except employees of the American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., and its affiliates and their immediate families.
