New York Clearing House Association Retains Ruder Finn One Of Three New Accounts For The Agency's Washington Office New York, May 29, 1997 -- Ruder Finn announced today that it has been retained as the agency of record for the New York Clearing House Association (NYCHA). The agency will provide strategic counsel and conduct a regional public relations campaign to increase the usage of NYCHA's direct deposit operation. The account will be managed in Ruder Finn's Washington, D.C. office. According to Agency principle and COO, Peter Finn, "The campaign is aimed at employers and employees in an effort to inform them of direct deposit opportunities and to counter employee fears of loss of control due to direct deposit of paychecks." The ongoing communications project involves focus groups, business and consumer media relations, news conferences, media tours, ad development, alliance building and video production and distribution. The Ruder Finn account team is made up of David Kalson, vice president, Tom Calcagni, vice president and Peter Zambelli, senior vice president. The New York Clearing House, which coordinates with major banks nationally and the Federal Reserve, processes close to three trillion dollars worth of transactions a year and is now the largest and most diversified clearing house of its kind.
