Ruder Finn's PTA Celebrates 35th Anniversary New York, May 16, 1997 -- With the publishing world, media and VIP's in full attendance, Ruder Finn's Planned Television Arts division celebrated its 35th anniversary with a big bash at its New York headquarters. Publishing notables, such as Fred Hills, vice president and senior editor, Simon & Schuster, Eric Major, director of religious publishing, Doubleday Books, and authors mingled with media representatives from CBS News, Bloomberg, WEVD radio and syndicated columnist Jane Applegate. Guests were entertained by a tarot card reader, a massage therapist and a 15 year old magician. When Planned Television Arts (PTA) first opened their doors in 1962, Jack Paar was host of The Tonight Show, John Kennedy was in the White House and John Glenn would become the first man to orbit the earth. Since then they have worked on projects for The Tonight Show host Jay Leno, President Jimmy Carter and astronaut Mike Mullane.
