REDESIGNED PEANUTS SITE LAUNCHES

NEW YORK, NY, December 12, 1997—Tumble Interactive Media, Inc. announced today that it has completed the redesign of the "PEANUTS" World Wide Web site for United Media. Tumble has added new content to the site's most popular features, and "Snoopy's Doghouse,'' renamed, www.snoopy.com http://www.snoopy.com now contains numerous animations, Shockwave games, PEANUTS trivia, and original comic artwork designed exclusively for the site.

"We are delighted that Tumble helped United Media in revitalizing PEANUTS's on-line presence," commented Michael Zimbalist, General Manager of On-line Services for United Media. "Tumble's initial concept was so in-tune with the property and the characters that it was an easy decision. As PEANUTS approaches its 50th anniversary in the year 2000, we are excited to be giving Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the entire team an interactive, innovative, and fun Web Site." The original Peanuts Web site was created in celebration of the comic strip's 45th anniversary. The strip is one of the longest running in syndication, due to the creative genius of the strip's creator, Charles Schulz.

As the official PEANUTS Web site, there is a broad range of content; kids can play games, send postcards and color using either online markers or the old fashioned way by printing out a custom coloring page. Grown-ups can play trivia games, browse a timeline of PEANUTS history or share their favorite PEANUTS moments on a new feature called "Memory Lane."

A complete bibliography provides an extensive list of reprint books and book titles written about the creator and his works. For collectors, there's a vast amount of information on available licensed merchandise. snoopy.com is also an important source of information on upcoming promotions, new products, art exhibits and Snoopy appearances.

"We are very excited about this opportunity," says Cal Vornberger, President of Tumble. "I've been a big fan of Peanuts for over 30 years-as have many of our staff. We worked very hard on this project and are pleased at producing the caliber of work Mr. Schulz's strip deserves."

PEANUTS is the most widely syndicated comic strip appearing in more than 2,600 newspapers each day in 75 countries. United Media (http://www.unitedmedia.com) is the information and entertainment company that develops and markets 150 comic strips and editorial features worldwide, including Miss Manners, Jack Anderson, Harvey Mackay, PEANUTS, Over the Hedge, and Dilbert. United Media Licensing represents a variety of properties including PEANUTS, Dilbert, Nancy and Sluggo, National Geographic, Miffy, Wallace & Gromit, and PBS.
